I have to agree with dstorres, neutral all the way.

f

I haven't read Darkstalkers yet, my comic store decided not to order any. They also haven't ordered any of the TPB's. I think I'm gonna have to find another store.

f

I originally mislabled this subject. The original Udon series was dubbed Street Fighter. The first volume was fifteen issues (0-14) and takes place during the SF Alpha (Zero in Japan) timeline. The digests cover all these issues but do not include the backup stories that were originally presented in said issues (most of which fleshed out a SF character's background).

The current series, Street Fighter II, takes some time later and the characters have appeared to age (Alvin Lee's artwork is nothing short of amazing). I highly recommend fans of the anime & games to check this series out.

An example of Alvin Lee's current Street Fighter art style can be found here:

Mine would be Robotech.

Quote by llxcharlenexllin gundam seed destiny i find that not only lacus and meer look alike alot of people do why is that?!?!?!

Meer looks like Lacus because she had surgery to look & training to sound like her. Others are drawn that way just because its the character designers style.

Anyone interested in see the trailer go here: http://www.centurysendsavior.com/KOFAnotherDayTrailer.html

The first issue is out with amazing art by Alvin Lee. For those who might be skeptical I will provide a link to the official site:

Went to my second anime con ever. It was the con fromerly known as Anime Reactor (now just Reactor... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh). It was even worse than the first one I went to 2 years ago. I didn't find anything worth buying and the only reason I wanted to go was to see the Robotech pannel and that was Friday.

Worst Anime Con Ever!!!!

f

for some reason the whole address didn't work. go to Steelfalcon.com, then Macross Mecha designs, followed by Megaroad colony ship.

f

Anyways, if you were curious what the sdf-2 was supposed to look like, this is it (it was finally animated in Macross 2012):

f

Fans of Robotech: Macross Saga, have you ever wondered what the SDF-2 would have looked like?

f

Before this thread is closed I will say Freedom based on Speed, Firepower, & Kira's Seed Mode.

f

Not going to argue with your point since it is yours. I personally liked the upgraded wings on Strike Freedom, especially to accomidate the Dragoons. I will agree the color scheme on SF is not as good as Freedoms but I can live with it (even the gold). While I don't hate the central cannon I could do without it. They deffinately loaded SF up with energy weapons this time around.

Infinite Justice is an excellent upgrade of Justice. The extra weapons (particularly the leg cutters) all suit the MS & Athrun's fighting style.

Legend... A good suit in the hands of a pilot that didn't know how to fully use it to his advantages (compairing Rau to Rey). Rey, while manipulative, was not as evil as Rau so he did not know how to fully exploit the Dragoon's to his will. This is a case of good suit, wrong pilot.

Macross Plus is the only one that really sucks. I mean come on the
movie is like what? 2hrs long? and the Veritechs are in it for like,
5minutes. baaad

Elden you can't mix your terminologies. In Robotech they're called Veritechs. In Macross they're called Valkyries..

Quote by kevlordwho here remembers that old anime series from the 1980's named
robotech, (i dont mean maccross plus)?. i have three questions for you
1. which do you prefer, robotech(original), maccross plus(new series),
or mechwarrior
2. which is your favourite mech from either of the three
3. which is your favourite character from either of the three

1. Macross Plus is much newer and has amazing animation.
2. The yf-21 because it resembles the female zentraedi armor in battloid mode.
3. Lisa Hayse/Misa Hayse. She was a strong woman back in the days when women weren't leading characters.

f

Quote by riagaini luved robotech when i was a kid. i got all the dvds now 2. and i got
all the japanese macross stuff. i actually think macross is a better
storyline. they got kewler planes 2.

I agree, but I, like D, credit Robotech with getting me into Anime. Of course I had to watch tapes and then when Sci-Fi originally aired it I would watch it then too.

f

Quote by dstorresUnfortunately I have not. It was a fun game but severly lacking (no
rockets or special weapons in soldier mode, not a lot of weapons).

Dusty Ares revolver woulda been a cool bonus weapon as well.

f

Kira/Lacus & Athrun/Cagalli are my fav couple.

-Sigh- This really isn't getting anyone anywhere and I'm tired of
arguing with people. And though I do understand where you're coming
from, I still disagree. I suppose I was just disappointed with how
Destiny turned out and the lack of answers that it was able to provide
as well as the obvious rush of the ending. I guess that all that there
is left to do is wait for the next installment (if there will still be
one) and hope for the best. :/

You have to wait till February for the 40 Min GSD OAV. Maybe then you'll get some of the answers you seek. Or maybe in a more twisted note the creators will create even more questions for you??? who knows.

Quote by Devildudeerm....i hate akatsuki....
another variation of the classic....the PEPSI...that old gundam zz or
something like that that first all covered in gold like a aztec
artifact suit....
plus the reflection thingy is unfair.....so strong given to a bloody
orb little something representative....
should be given at least to a coordinator....anyone....my idea
hope ya don't get p*ssed

The Akatsuki was inspired by the Zeta Gundam's Hyaku Shiki.

The reflection coating is in place instead of Phase Shift Armor. Where as PS Armor blocks all physical/projectile attacks it can not stop beam weapons (sabers, axes, etc) or beam blasts.

The coating on the Akatsuki reflects energy blasts but does not stop projectiles or beam weapons (as was shown when Shinn's beam boomerang cut the left arm off). So the suit is not invincible.

1. He was a clone of a clone, to wonder more, especially now that he's
dead is pointless. Although if I were to take an educated guess he
(Rau) was probably trying to rid himself of his flaw. Or he wanted a
back up in case he failed in his goal (which he did).
2. Of course it can, just like the coordinators who tried to carry out
Patrick Zala's ideals at the beginning of GSD. It's a never ending
conflict just like prejudice still exists in out world.
3. How did he survive? Don't know, he just did apparently (ala
flashback). How did he become neo? One would guess conditioning. He
probably lost the majority of his memories or they used the device that
they used on the trio to wipe out the memories they didn't need (again
flashback).
4. Shinn was only part of the story. He was rooted in the past and that
is where he got his strength from. If he were to have "grown up" he
wouldn't have been as ideal a pilot (as implied by the amount of times
he went into SEED mode during one of his emotional rants).
5. People who don't follow the orders of a superior (without a lot of
justification) are called traitors and are usually executed. Only with
Gil's death are they can those that help the winners be pardoned. As
for restarting the plan, again, look what it took last time to get to
where he was. They have no Genesis (again) and no Requiem.
I think I made enough educated guesses with the info provided.

1. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know more regardless if the
character is dead or not. Why? Because even if someone is dead, they
still play a significant role. Isn't that what Destiny has so much of?
Flashbacks of dead people? Are you saying that because (for a different
example) Stellar is dead, that she doesn't continue to influence the
characters lives and decisions? The more we know, the better we
understand. Destiny clearly lacked in this aspect. It's important to
know what motivates someone to do something -- "probably" doesn't
suffice.
2. It's that "never ending conflict" that I find so dissatisfying about
Destiny -- it doesn't leave much hope for the future.
3. Don't know? Wonderful. Why him? It would be much less of a hassle
just to kill him. 4. Shinn, I have been led to believe (perhaps
wrongly) was a main character and while I have nothing against him
being an anti-hero, his character is sorely lacking. The lack of
development -- be it growth or deterioration -- is disappointing.
5. How disgusting; to follow a leader like that because you fear
getting killed. People have a little something called free-will, they
should learn to use it more often. ~zephryn
P.S. Educated guesses would have to rely on facts as a premise. You
clearly don't have enough of those so your guesses are just that and
nothing more.

1. Fact Rey was a clone of Rau. He tells us this. It was implied when they went to the cloning facility and he freaked out. Just because you (and others) want to know more does not necessitate the need for the creators to fill you in on the hows and whys.

Mu's father made a clone of himself in a bid for immortality, Rau could have done the same (knowing he was a flawed clone). Again just a theory or guess based on info from gs.

2. This is more your opinion. It is your right to believe this so I'll just let it be.

3. They showed him alive (in a body wrap so he obviously survived) Again the whys and hows are not really necessary, especially since Mu most likely doesn't know either. The storytellers then showed him with the trio in a mask. You figure the rest.

4. Shinn was one of the protagonists (ensemble cast). His character was rooted in the past, and that was where he got his strength. It was his character. The closest he came to showing any kind of maturity was his 2 relationships.

The disappointment is solely yours, I never really liked Shinn. He was too wishy washy.
That and he was just a glorified weapon (point and shoot). He was simply Gundam's Anakin Skywalker (with out the bionics at the end).

5. Guess what, that's life. As for free will, maybe you missed that that was one of the things that would pretty much be taken away as of the Destiny Plan.

6. My educated guesses are based on the facts. They may be wrong but they are just that, guesses. I have the information provided by the series that you obviously either missed or didn't like.

1. What were the circumstances that lead to Rey's existence and what are both Rey and Rau's relationship with Gil?
2. Gil's Destiny Plan while "thwarted" can always be realized at a later date. The conflict wasn't resolved and with the exception of a few lame speeches regarding the matter, the animosity between coordinators and naturals hadn't depleted.
3. Mu did get back his memories... but how did he survive in the first place? How did he become "Neo" for that matter? Truth be told, I think he was better off dead - that was far more honorable.
4. Shinn... he lost. That's it. He didn't grow up. He didn't realize that he'd been stupid all along or anything.
5. "zaft lost their campaign"...? ZAFT didn't seem all that relevant. It seemed to be just Gilbert and everyone stupidly followed along. Rey, Talia, Athrun, Meirin, (Meer), Yzak, Dearka, etc. were all members of zaft... and guess what? They turned on him. Gilbert lost his campaign but as I've mentioned, it can be realized by someone else later on.
There are still too many questions left and not enough information was actually given for viewers to come to thier own conclusion... or even make an intelligent guess.
Was it ever explain who that kid with Talia was? I know he's her son... but I'm referring to the circumstances surrounding that...? And why did Talia want Murrue to meet him?

1. He was a clone of a clone, to wonder more, especially now that he's dead is pointless. Although if I were to take an educated guess he (Rau) was probably trying to rid himself of his flaw. Or he wanted a back up in case he failed in his goal (which he did).

2. Of course it can, just like the coordinators who tried to carry out Patrick Zala's ideals at the beginning of GSD. It's a never ending conflict just like prejudice still exists in out world.

3. How did he surivive? Don't know, he just did apparently (ala flashback). How did he become neo? One would guess conditioning. He probably lost the majority of his memories or they used the device that they used on the trio to wipe out the memories they didn't need (again flashback).

4. Shinn was only part of the story. He was rooted in the past and that is where he got his strength from. If he were to have "grown up" he wouldn't have been as ideal a pilot (as implied by the ammount of times he went into SEED mode during one of his emotional rants).

Quote by dstorresMy question is this:
What do you think wasn't resolved with the ending of gsd???

I'm not sure if you mean that as a hypothetical question, because I'm here thinking: What was resolved?

Rey was revealed to be a clone of Rau, Gil's Destiny Plan was thwarted. Neo is Mu and has his memories back. Shinn has been humbled and ZAFT has lost their campaign.

Did I forget anything?

Quote by Liger01I don't see why the category is needed since their all gonna be Gundams. As long as the mobile suit I'm piloting is a Gundam (a good one at least, not that any of them are) I'm fine.

Liger, I think you missed the point. I said Mobile Suit. Unlike G-Gundam not every series has 20+ gundams. Thats why I asked for type of mobile suit (and gave examples).

Gundam Seed & Destiny shows us that the Earth & Plants actually created mass prodution suits of their prototypes (gundams).

It's a preference. and D was just pointing out that I forgot about the Multi-Role Suits. Thank you by the way D.
